Are you passionate about STEM?
UoTK, in conjunction with Black Rocket Productions, is seeking
enthusiastic, motivated and talented individuals to work as a Lead
Instructor to help teach exciting classes based in Minecraft, Roblox,
coding, and video game design!
This is a perfect job for K12 certified classroom teachers with
summers off who want to teach children various types of new
technology. Assistant Instructors are often undergraduate students
wanting to gain more experience working with children and/or
technology in a classroom setting. Lead Instructors are adults who
are responsible for the well-being and education of the students. A
lead instructor may have either a degree/experience in education or
significant experience in one of the content areas. They must have a
strong understanding of the course concepts being taught as well as
any techniques and software involved. Classroom management skills are
preferred. Assistant Instructors are expected to be a support to the
Lead Instructor as well as to the students.
Upon completion of the Black Rocket training program, instructors
must demonstrate competency in the core concepts and software used.
In addition to teaching responsibilities, lead instructors are also
responsible for the supervision of staff, equipment management, and
enforcement of site policies. Training is provided and begins in
spring 2026. This is a seasonal position. Experience with technology
preferred, but not required.
Get paid to build your resume and have a ton of fun! Training is paid
and mostly online with some on site at UoTK. Each new hire will attend
an online training program to learn the curriculum and the Black
Rocket approach. Training begins in April 2026.
The position is full day (8:30 am - 4:30 pm), Monday-Friday for the
weeks of June 1st, June 8th, June 22nd, and July 6th.
