Are you passionate about Tech Education, Video Games, Coding, Python, Roblox™, App Design, Digital Movies, Robotics, Drones, Minecraft™ or STEM?

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and talented individuals to work as Lead and Assistant Instructors in our Fall 2022 after school programs.

  • Full school year of programs available, minimum of 12 week commitment required

  • In-room with kids ages 8-14

  • PAID training!

  • No formal experience required

  • Spend the summer with our AMAZING students having fun with technology!

General Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation to sites throughout the borough

  • Experience with children in an educational setting preferred but not required

  • Strong technology skills are preferred, such as 3D modeling, coding, game creation or design, animation, robotics, modifying games, video editing, competitive gaming, significant knowledge of Minecraft or Roblox, etc.

  • Available to start online training August 1st, 2022 (Train at your own pace.)

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to offer accommodations or work sponsorship.

  • Must be available to work a minimum of 12 weeks, Monday through Friday

Experience and Skills

Lead Instructor Requirements:

  • 21 years of age or older

  • College graduates with a degree in education, digital arts, computer science, information technology or related fields and/or significant relevant work experience are ideal. Graduating college seniors with student teaching experience are also encouraged to apply.

  • Experience teaching kids is not required, but the ideal candidate will have some experience with kids in a formal or informal setting (classroom, volunteering, childcare, tutoring, coaching, etc.)

  • Ability to lead a class of up to 13 kids solo and 30 kids with an assistant in a technology setting

  • Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience, location, and availability

  • Potential opportunities to move into supervisory roles in future years

  • Ability to manage and safely transfer equipment as needed for various classes

Assistant Instructor Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older

  • College age student studying education, computer science, digital arts, information technology, or in similar fields are encouraged to apply.

  • Those with strong tech or digital arts and troubleshooting skills will be most successful in this position

  • Experience with kids in a formal or informal setting is a plus, such as babysitting, volunteering, coaching, tutoring, etc.

  • Rate: Dependent on experience, location, and availability

  • Strong assistants may have opportunities to move into the Lead Teacher role after teaching a full round of classes
